Data methodology
Verified business data, refreshed continuously
Every company in the LBM directory passes through a strict, multi-layer verification pipeline before it is published. We do not rely on a single source, and we never publish unverifiable listings.
Discovery
We identify trading businesses through a worldwide discovery layer that scans public business records, official registries and published merchant data by sector, country and city.
Registry check
Every candidate is checked against official company registries and public legal identifiers. Records without a verifiable legal existence or active trading status are rejected.
Domain verification
We keep only companies that operate a real, active website on their own domain. Look-alike domains, parked pages and unverifiable sites are filtered out before publication.
Record normalisation
Names, addresses, sectors, contacts and trading identifiers are normalised into a single, consistent profile so one company appears once, under one permanent LBM reference.
Trust scoring
Each record receives a reliability assessment based on registry presence, domain history, contact reachability, payment-routing evidence and customer-visible signals.
Continuous refresh
The directory is re-checked on a rolling cycle. Disappeared websites, expired registrations or failed verification signals automatically hide a record until it is re-confirmed.
Confidential sourcing
Sources are not disclosed publicly
The individual providers, registries and discovery channels used by LBM are confidential. We combine licensed commercial data, open public records and direct merchant submissions to build the directory, and we never publish the identity of our upstream sources on the public site.
What the public sees
Visitors can search the directory, read redacted company cards and see that a record has been verified. Full profiles, contacts, reliability scores and outbound links to the seller's own website are reserved for paid members.
What members unlock
A paid membership opens the full company file, the verified official website, the LBM reliability score and member-only comparison tools. Members never see provider names, only the resulting verified and normalised record.
Questions about the data?
